The University of Pennsylvania Libraries seeks a public digital scholarship librarian who will support, train, and partner with faculty, students, and research centers in digital research and scholarship, and digital research communication, primarily in the humanities and social sciences. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in public scholarship, data visualization, and digital publication for academic and public audiences to a Research Data and Digital Scholarship team that balances process and product, technical infrastructure and social infrastructure, open principles and privacy concerns, and is committed to meeting people where they are and accompanying them on a mutually edifying digital scholarship journey.Job Description

QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
Experience planning, managing, and delivering digital scholarship projects
Interest in public, community-engaged digital work
Proficiency in one or more programming languages (Python, R, etc.)
Familiarity with data visualization tools and techniques
An advanced degree (master’s or above) and experience providing/planning digital scholarship services
In-depth knowledge of the digital scholarship lifecycle
Experience building and maintaining cross-campus connections and initiatives
Excellent communication skills
Commitment to anti-racist, inclusive, ethical praxisPreferred:
Demonstrated experience/interest in linked open data and/or collections as data
Advanced degree in the humanities or social sciences
