Continuing Education Council

The Continuing Education Council awards grants to applicants from contributing members of the Council. These grants are awarded twice a year (fall and spring) to library staff members to improve their professional and occupational skills. The application and personal membership forms are available from our Member Resources page or through the button below.

The fund which supports the work of the Council is named in honor of Sister Mary Dennis Lynch, the sister who started a fund for scholarships for library staff of all levels to attend educational programs in the library field. She designated the Continuing Education Council to administer the funds. The Council consists of members selected from the membership of the Council. Membership may be institutional or individual.

The Spring 2024 application period is open. Applications are being accepted until March 1st, 2024. Contact Joy Dlugosz (jdlugosz@eastern.edu) with any questions.
