Hello TCLC members,
Gratz College Library is looking to digitize a number of items from our music library: books, bound sheet music, many fragile items . We have a small budget to do the work and purchase some equipment but not enough to purchase an industrial grade book scanner- one that scans at archival standard, has OCR software, and does it quickly.
I’m reaching out to the TCLC members for some recommendations. We have a Fujitsu ScanSnap Overhead Scanner but it is difficult to scan books that are fragile and you need to use both hands to operate.
Would it be possible for our staff to use a member’s in-house book scanner if available?
Any and all suggestions are welcome!
Thank you,
Donna Guerin
