The Sister Mary Dennis Lynch Memorial Fund was named in Sister’s honor at the 1991 Spring Program by then TCLC President, Dr. Helen Hayes, Chestnut Hill College Library Director. Sister Mary Dennis passed away in November of 1990.

Early in TCLC’s existence, Sr. Mary Dennis had started a fund for scholarships for library staff of all levels to attend educational programs in the library field. She designated the Continuing Education Council to administer the funds. The Council consists of five members elected from the membership of the council. Membership may be institutional or personal. Libraries become members of the Council by paying the council dues with their TCLC dues. Staff members of TCLC libraries receive flyers requesting their personal participation in the council each year.
